Experts says that categorizing viruses on their colour is not an appropriate way to handle it. Knowing the illness on the basis of colour of virus also not correct as per health experts
As per D r Randeep Guleria of All India Institute Of Medical Sciences – New Delhi, funguses found in different parts of the body will be of different types.
So segregating them on the basis of colours need to stop and in common, it should be termed as Mucormycosis.
Types of Funguses:
There are three types of fungus. Mucormycosis, Aspergillosis And Candida. Humans with Covid infection are mostly affected with mucormycosis. Aspergillosis fungus normally affects lungs.
Similarly, all these varients affects weak pople and those with low immunity.
These fungus variants mostly infects sinus, nose and bones around eyes. At times, it affects brain as well. Most common seen in India are affecting eyes and surrounding areas.
D r Randeep also said that the fungus-related illnesses are on an increasing trend in India. Unlike Corona virus, the fungus infection will not transmit from one person to another – he added.
