A New airline from Oman – Salam Air, has launched flights from Dubai and Muscat to Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode. Other airlines will have the hurdle of Salam Air Ticket fare that will be an obstacle to increase air fare freely.
On April 10, as per the website, the fare on the Muscat-Thiruvananthapuram route is 83.20 riyals and from Dubai to Thiruvananthapuram, it is AED 515. The return fare to Dubai on April 20 is close to 900 dirhams.
Salam Air India currently flies to Thiruvananthapuram, Kozhikode, Jaipur and Lucknow.
Salam Air has four types of ticket prices – Light, Friendly, Benefit and Luban.
Light: The lowest rate is in the light category. It allows 7 kg of cabin luggage only. The rate is 20 riyals to change the date within 24 hours and 25 riyals to cancel, there is no food.
Friendly: Same things as light, but can carry up to 20kg of cabin luggage
Benefit: 7 kg cabin baggage, 30 kg check-in luggage, snacks, 10 riyals for change of date and cancellation within 24 hours.
Luban: 14 kg cabin luggage, 40 kg check-in luggage, regular meals, free change of date and cancellation within 24 hours.
