Google’s Sundar Pitchai announced a disaster aid fund to India from the company and its staff.  The announcement publicized by him through his social media page of Twitter

Sundair Pitchai and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella rushed to India for help as the country battling coronavirus attacks.

Senior executives from India promised statements on Monday to help address the acute shortage of medical oxygen. They also assure to provide technological know-how and disseminate corporate resources as the country continues to record international records for day-to-day illnesses.

“I am saddened by the situation in India,” Nadella wrote on Twitter.

“I am grateful that the US government is planning to help. Microsoft will continue to use its voice, equipment and technology to support relief efforts. Thus will support the purchase of essential oxygen turbines,” he added.

Nadella was joined a few hours later by Pitchai, who said on Twitter that he was “disturbed to see Covid’s problem getting worse,”. And he announced a $ 1.35 billion ($ 18 million) aid to Google and its employees.

Earlier, Google and Microsoft had extended their support to digitize India by means of technology as well. This was by providing internet connection and wi-fi facility to India’s railway stations.

Both the tech giants are concentrating India as it is the biggest market by users for them after the US.
