Maharashtra Lock Down Extended till 31 October

The lockdown date of Maharashtra state extended till October 31 – the Government said today.

Even though, there are exemptions and relaxations given to many categories. Hotels, Restaurants, Bars and Food outlets are allowed to operate from 5th October with occupancy of 50% of total capacity. The relaxations are given to areas outside containment zones.

Relaxation details related to tourism department will be released later. Non essential Industrial and manufacturing units under Mumbai Metropolitan Region will also be allowed to operate.

Local train is Mumbai and Pune will be allowed to ply. Trains in MMR will be increasing the frequency of operation. Both will be as per guidelines issued and protocols. Dabbawalas will be allowed to travel. Oxygen carrying vehicles will have a free movement. Schools and colleges will be in closed situation. Also Cinema halls, Auditoriums and political, social, sports and entertainment gathering will be in closed status.

Maharashtra only had a total death over 36,000 due to Covid-19; which is increasing continuously.
