In July, Royal Enfield sold 44,038 motorcycles, in comparison to 40,334 units in the same month last year.
Royal Enfield also exported 4,748 units in July 2021, up from 2,409 units in July 2020. The Chennai-based bike manufacturer reported sales of 39,290 units in the domestic market, up 4% from the 37,925 units reported in July 2020.
The company reported a 97 percent increase in revenue.
The prices of Royal Enfield’s popular twins, the Continental G T 650 and Interceptor 650, have been raised. In the month of April, the bike manufacturer hiked the prices of the bikes as well. There will be no further visual or mechanical changes to the bikes with parallel-twin engines. The model of the bike and the color determines the increase in price.
In the current financial year, Royal Enfield plans to introduce a wide selection of new motorcycles.
Earlier in June, Royal Enfield CEO Vinod Dasari recently told analysts that the business is working on a number of interesting new items. And also he said that Royal Enfield will introduce the most new models in a fiscal year in the company’s history.
This financial year, Dasari claims, some “really huge models” will be announced. He said that the company would continue to introduce a new model every quarter as planned.
Royal Enfield Upcoming Bikes
It has also introduced the ‘Online Booking’, ‘Home Test Ride’ and ‘Service on Wheels’ services. The Chennai-based bike maker has also introduced the ‘Contactless Purchase and Service Experience. It allows clients to purchase their favourite bike without leaving the comfort of their own home.
