Suriya’s Soorarai Pottru has gotten the clearance from Indian Air Force and is all set to directly release on Amazon Prime Video in the coming weeks. Since it is about the aviation industry, the Indian Air Force needs to give clearance for the film to release.
A day after Suriya announced the postponement of Soorarai Pottru, the team received good news from the Indian Air Force. October 23, producer Rajsekharpandian of 2D Entertainment took to Twitter to reveal that they have gotten the NOC from IAF. He further added that the new release date of the film will be told soon.
The movie set to release on October 30. Two months ago, Suriya took to social media to announce the release of Soorarai Pottru. The film is directed by Sudha Kongara Prasad. It became the first big-budget flick to skip movie house release. And first show directly on Amazon Prime Video from October 30.
However, the last-minute pending approvals from the IAF made the team of Soorarai Pottru to delay the release. Suriya explained the reasons behind the delay and hoped that his fans take this news in the right spirit. He made a detailed press note. Also, releasing the Friendship Song from the film, Suriya said that he will come back with updates regarding the trailer and the film’s release soon.
