The instant messaging platform Whats App which has two billion users across the world was facing criticism on implementing its new privacy policy.
Now the company has given clear details of the problems that the users will face in the forthcoming week.
A few days ago, a statement issued by Whats App says the user accounts will not be deleted. According to the Whats App page, all its features would not work properly until the users accept the updates. Also the users won’t be able to access the chat list, besides it will enable you to answer incoming phone and video calls.
Accept or not to accept the new privacy policy– Decide by May 15
The company also informed, no one will have their accounts deleted or lose functionality of Whats App on May 15.
After May 15
Users will continue to get reminders from Whats App to accept new terms. It will give time to review the policy and accept. Failing to do so will cause the users to lose some functionalities after persistent reminders.
Further, after few weeks you won’t be able to receive incoming calls or notifications and Whats App will stop sending messages and calls to your phone.
During the past weeks, Whats App has been displaying a notification to its users providing more information about the update.
