Pathan – Shah Rukh Khan starrer to become the first Indian movie to be shot inside the Burj Khalifa; MASSIVE action scene planned.
This will be fourth time that Shah Rukh Khan would be creating a first for all of Indian cinema. Earlier, his Swades was the first to be shot at NASA, followed by Jab Tak Hai Jaan being the first to be shot at Discovery Channel headquarters. Later Fan became the first Indian film to be shot at Madam Tussauds.
Dubai’s iconic Burj Khalifa being used as a backdrop in Bollywood movies. The last we saw to be shot against the backdrop of the Burj Khalifa was Akshay Kumar and Kiara Advani starrer, Laxmii. It is a song that was eponymously titled after the skyscraper. Well, Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathan is now set to become the first Indian movie to be shot inside the Burj Khalifa.
So Far in Burj Khalifa:
As of now only two Hollywood movies MI Ghost Protocol, and Fast and Furious 7 have been shot at the iconic tower. so this is quite the feat for a Bollywood film.
Breaking the news to Pinkvilla, a source close to the production said, “The idea is to go one notch above what’s already done so far. Apart from Mission Impossible and Fast and Furious franchise, not many films have been shot inside Burj Khalifa.
Especially, Pathan will be among the first few Indian films to have actual visuals of the tower from inside. A big scale action scene centered around Burj Khalifa is in the offing from the team of Pathan. It’s car, bike, guns, blasts, hand to hand combats. Get ready for action, that’s sleek and stylish, at international repute in Pathan.”
