PUBG Mobile India launch will be one of the most awaited gaming events in the country in recent times. After PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) was banned in India earlier this year along with several other apps and software of Chinese origin.

On Saturday, the official website of the new mobile game added download links. The news gave hope to the users of the launch being earlier than expected. The website showed two download options, the first led to an APK download link and the second led to the Google Play store. However, none of the links worked. The small tease by the developers has got the PUBG fans excited, and they have decided to express their emotions through memes.

The fans of the mobile game are eagerly waiting for the India specific version of the game. South Korean company Krafton Inc, the parent company of PUBG has severed ties with Chinese firm Tencent Games for India operations. The teasers of the Mobile game have been out already but now some reports say that a trailer will be out soon. PUBG Mobile India pre-registration is already underway.

Pre-registration for PUBG Mobile India is already going on for select Android and iOS users on the Tap game sharing community.

The listing says that the game will be available in English as well as in Hindi.

PUBG reportedly is in the process of setting up an Indian subsidiary for its presence in India. It will hire 100 people from gaming, business, and game development background. PUBG Mobile India is being designed with Indian sensibilities and preferences in mind. Krafton Inc has tied up with Microsoft Azure to address the issues of data security of Indian users.

To assuage privacy and data security concerns, PUBG had stated that it will conduct regular audit. Verifications on the storage systems holding Indian users’ personally identifiable information’s security is done.

Moreover, the developer has ensured that the Indian version of the popular First Person Shooter (FPS) game will include a feature. That is about the places having restrictions on game time. That to promote healthy gameplay habits for younger players.
